Hungry Bug — Return & Refund Policy

This policy applies to orders placed on hungrybug.store, operated by Wira Group AB (trading as Hungry Bug), Torshamnsgatan 27, Kista, Sweden.

OUR STANDARD POLICY (ALL CUSTOMERS)

We want you to be genuinely happy with what you ordered. If you're not, you have 30 days from the date your order is delivered to request a return or refund — no need to justify it.

What's excluded from change-of-mind returns:
- Items that have been used, damaged by the customer, or are missing original packaging
- Opened hygiene-sensitive items (bite-relief patches, anything applied to skin)
- Any item marked "final sale" at checkout

How low-cost items work: for lower-priced items (nets, sticky traps, and similar), we usually won't ask you to ship the item back internationally — the return shipping typically costs more than the item itself. In most cases we'll issue a refund or send a replacement directly instead. For higher-value items (electric traps, lamps), we may ask for a photo or short video showing the issue before we replace or refund it.

DAMAGED, DEFECTIVE, OR WRONG ITEM RECEIVED

Contact us within 14 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of the issue, and we'll send a replacement or refund — your choice. This doesn't affect any other rights you have under consumer law in your country.

ORDER NOT RECEIVED

Because items ship internationally, delivery can take longer than domestic orders — check your order confirmation for the estimated window for your country. If your order hasn't arrived within 30 days of the estimated delivery window closing, contact us and we'll track it down, send a replacement, or refund you.

HOW TO REQUEST A RETURN OR REFUND

Email hi@hungrybug.store with your order number and the reason for your request. We aim to respond within 2 business days.

REFUND TIMING

Once approved, refunds are issued to your original payment method. Please allow 5–10 business days for the refund to appear, depending on your bank or payment provider.

YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS

If you're in the United Kingdom:
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have a statutory right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it, for any reason, without justification. This right exists regardless of what this policy says. If you cancel within this period: tell us in writing within the 14 days; you then have a further 14 days to send the item back; we'll refund everything you paid, including standard delivery, within 14 days of receiving the item back or evidence you've posted it. This sits alongside your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 if an item is faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose.

If you're in Sweden or elsewhere in the EU:
Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive, implemented in Sweden through the Distance and Off-Premises Contracts Act (lagen om distansavtal och avtal utanför affärslokaler), you have a statutory right of withdrawal (ångerrätt) — you can cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it, for any reason, without justification. This is the same underlying right UK customers have above. If you cancel within this period: tell us in writing within the 14 days; you then have a further 14 days to send the item back; we'll refund everything you paid, including standard delivery, within 14 days of receiving the item back or evidence you've posted it. This is on top of your rights if goods are faulty or not as described. Our 30-day goodwill window above already exceeds this legal minimum.

If you're in Malaysia:
Under the Consumer Protection Act 1999, if an item is defective, unsafe, or not as described, you're entitled to a refund, repair, or replacement — a "no refund" policy cannot override this. Malaysian law doesn't require us to offer a no-reason-needed change-of-mind return the way UK law does, which is why we offer our 30-day goodwill window above voluntarily. If we can't resolve an issue directly, you can lodge a claim with the Tribunal for Consumer Claims Malaysia (TTPM) for a low filing fee, without needing a lawyer.
